This policy explains what AbsMaxxer processes when you visit this website or use the mobile app, including AI features.

Overview

AbsMaxxer (“we”, “us”) operates the app and website. Most detailed app records stay in encrypted storage on your device. Selected information leaves your device when you use cloud features, such as AI photo analysis, food lookup, the coach, the leaderboard or subscriptions. A photo saved on your phone may also be sent for analysis if you choose to analyze it.

The current app does not require email sign-in, a password or a social account. It uses a device-specific credential to connect to cloud features. Your profile name is a display label, not an account login.

Data we handle

On your device

The app can store your profile name, age, measurements, goals, training preferences, workouts, recovery and habit entries, food and water diary, weight check-ins, photos, scan results and nutrition targets in encrypted local storage. Your detailed workout history and diary are not routinely synchronized to our servers. Private app records are excluded from automatic device backup and transfer; removing the app can permanently remove them.

Cloud features

To operate cloud features, our systems use a device-specific identifier and access credential, request IDs, usage limits and error or security information. When you request AI analysis, we process the photo, meal description, nutrition label, coach message or limited app context needed for that request. Food search or barcode lookup can send the search term or barcode number to a food-data service. Barcode camera images are decoded on your device.

Health and voice

If you connect a device health source, the app reads steps and active energy to show activity and adjust estimated food targets. Health readings are used on your device; dated adjustment summaries are saved locally. These readings and summaries are not sent to our servers, AI processors or leaderboard. Voice input is transcribed on your device. Raw audio is not uploaded or archived by us; text you choose to send to the coach is processed as a cloud request.

Purchases and the website

If you buy a subscription, the mobile app store and billing processor handle the transaction. We receive purchase and entitlement information needed to provide access and restore purchases; we do not receive your full payment card number. This static website has no account form or advertising tracker in its code. Website hosting systems may process IP address, browser, request and security data to deliver and protect the site.

AI scans and results

Before a photo is sent for analysis, the app asks you to review the request and allow cloud processing. AI may estimate visible abdominal features or nutrition information and generate guidance. These outputs can be wrong and can change with lighting, pose, image quality or incomplete food information. They are not medical measurements or diagnoses.

We use temporary encrypted processing for body-scan photos and remove the application-accessible temporary copy after the job ends, within about one hour. An accepted scan result and the information needed to recover it may remain on our server until you delete AI service records. Food photos and coach conversations are not kept as persistent app records on our server. Processing partners may keep limited service metadata under their own retention practices; we cannot promise that every copy or log disappears at the same time as our temporary job.

After an accepted body scan, your chosen profile name, overall score and rank may appear on the public leaderboard. Photos, body-fat estimates, detailed feature scores, workouts and food diary do not appear there.

How we use and share data

We use data to provide workouts, AI analysis, nutrition features, progress tracking, subscriptions, the leaderboard, support, security and service reliability. We share only information needed for a feature with categories of partners that host our systems, process AI requests, provide food information or manage purchases. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users. We do not sell your body photos or food diary.

Cloud processing may take place in countries outside your own. Where applicable law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. We do not use device health readings for advertising.

Retention and security

Local records stay on your device until you clear them or remove the app. Accepted scan results and leaderboard records remain on our service until the relevant server records are deleted, subject to technical backups and legal obligations. Operational identifiers, quota and security records are kept only as needed for service operation, abuse prevention and legal requirements. Retention by outside processors may differ.

We use encrypted local storage for personal app records, protected connections and access controls for cloud features. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect access to your device and keep the app updated.

Your choices and rights

  • Use Your data → Clear local records in the app to remove the profile, workouts, diary, photos and check-ins stored on that device. This does not delete AI server records.
  • Use AI connection → Delete AI service records to remove the installation identity, accepted server scans and associated leaderboard participation. Your local diary and workouts stay on the device.
  • Use AI connection → Reset AI permissions to be asked again before future AI requests. You can also manage camera, photo, microphone, notification and health access in your device settings.
  • Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion or other privacy rights that apply where you live. We may need to verify that a request concerns your data.

There is currently no supported export or cross-device recovery path for the app’s local records.

Children

AbsMaxxer is intended for adults. We do not knowingly design the app for children or ask children to submit body photos for analysis.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
